about

During this time when everyone is facing challenges, I felt inspired to compile a number of songs on the theme of solace and upliftment from all my albums released over the course of the last 20 years.

This compilation album, ‘Songs of Solace’, includes The Long Healing Prayer, the prayer for natural disasters, prayers for protection and assistance, and prayers to be recited during times of difficulty.

My aim in releasing this album now is so that you can share it with friends who are going through difficult times. We all need words of comfort and these songs were specially chosen to bring solace, protection and healing.

The album is available to download digitally. You can input whatever amount you wish as I would like to make the music accessible to as many friends as possible. You can send it as a gift by clicking ‘Send as gift’ and then input the recipient’s email. I have also prepared a beautiful graphic of all the lyrics that can be downloaded together with a message that your friends will receive when they download the whole album.

Track Name: Remover of Difficulties
English
Is there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praised be God! He is God! All are His servants and all abide by His bidding!

Spanish
¿Hay alguien que nos libre de las dificultades salvo Dios? Di: ¡Alabado sea Dios! ¡Él es Dios! Todos somos Sus siervos y todos acatamos Su mandato.

Arabic
Hal men mofarrejen ghayr’ullah qol sobhan allah hovallah
kollon ebadon lahu wa kollon be’amrihi qa’emoon

Selections from the Writings of The Báb, page 85
Track Name: My Haven in My Distress
O Lord, my God and my Haven in my distress! My Shield and my Shelter in my woes! My Asylum and Refuge in time of need and in my loneliness my Companion! In my anguish my Solace, and in my solitude a loving Friend! The Remover of the pangs of my sorrows and the Pardoner of my sins!

-‘Abdu’l-Bahá, Bahá'í Prayers: A Selection of Prayers Revealed by Bahá’u’lláh, The Báb and ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, 2002, page 132
Track Name: Remover of Every Anguish
O Lord! Thou art the Remover of every anguish and the Dispeller of every affliction. Thou art He Who banisheth every sorrow and setteth free every slave, the Redeemer of every soul. O Lord! Grant deliverance through Thy mercy and reckon me among such servants of Thine as have gained salvation.
-The Báb, Selections from the Writings of the Báb, page 193.

¡Oh Hijo de la Luz!
Olvídate de todo menos de Mí y entra en comunión con Mi espíritu. Esto pertenece a la esencia de Mi mandamiento, por tanto vuélvete a él.
-Bahá’u’lláh, The Hidden Words, Arabic #16.
Track Name: A Hundred Thousand Hopes
“O thou who art turning thy face towards God! Close thine eyes to all things else, and open them to the realm of the All-Glorious. Ask whatsoever thou wishest of Him alone; seek whatsoever thou seekest from Him alone. With a look He granteth a hundred thousand hopes, with a glance He healeth a hundred thousand incurable ills, with a nod He layeth balm on every wound, with a glimpse He freeth the hearts from the shackles of grief. He doeth as He doeth, and what recourse have we? He carrieth out His Will, He ordaineth what He pleaseth. Then better for thee to bow down thy head in submission, and put thy trust in the All-Merciful Lord.”

(‘Abdu’l-Bahá, Selections from the Writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, p. 51)
Track Name: Prayer for Protection
Immeasurably exalted art Thou, O Lord! Protect us from what lieth in front of us and behind us, above our heads, on our right, on our left, below our feet and every other side to which we are exposed. Verily Thy protection over all things is unfailing.

Selections from the Writings of The Báb, page 171-172
Track Name: The Power of Thy Name
Armed with the power of Thy name nothing can ever hurt me, and with Thy love in my heart all the world's afflictions can in no wise alarm me.

-Bahá’u’lláh, Prayers and Meditations of Bahá’u’lláh, page 208
Track Name: Boundless Love
May this boundless love so fill your hearts and minds that sadness may find no room to enter and may you with joyful hearts soar like birds into the Divine Radiance.

-‘Abdu'l-Bahá, Paris Talks, p. 95
Track Name: Dominion is God's
Dominion is God’s, the Lord of the seen and the unseen, the Lord of creation.
–Bahá’u’lláh
Track Name: This Earthly Plane
O My servants! Sorrow not if, in these days and on this earthly plane, things contrary to your wishes have been ordained and manifested by God, for days of blissful joy, of heavenly delight, are assuredly in store for you. Worlds, holy and spiritually glorious, will be unveiled to your eyes. You are destined by Him, in this world and hereafter, to partake of their benefits, to share in their joys, and to obtain a portion of their sustaining grace. To each and every one of them you will, no doubt, attain.

-Bahá’u’lláh, Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, CLIII, page 329
Track Name: Sheltering Support
For unto Thee have I raised my hands, O Lord, and in Thee have I found sheltering support, O Lord, and unto Thee have I resigned myself, O Lord, and upon Thee have I placed my whole reliance, O Lord, and by Thee am I strengthened, O Lord.

Selections from the Writings of the Báb, page 218
Track Name: Unto Thee I Repair for Refuge
O Lord! Unto Thee I repair for refuge, and toward all Thy signs I set my heart.

O Lord! Whether traveling or at home, and in my occupation or in my work, I place my whole trust in Thee.

Grant me then Thy sufficing help so as to make me independent of all things, O Thou Who art unsurpassed in Thy mercy!

Bestow upon me my portion, O Lord, as Thou pleasest, and cause me to be satisfied with whatsoever Thou hast ordained for me.

Thine is the absolute authority to command.

Selections from the Writings of The Báb, page 74
Track Name: Guide My Steps Aright
I adjure Thee by Thy might, O my God! Let no harm
beset me in times of tests, and in moments of
heedlessness guide my steps aright through Thine
inspiration. Thou art God, potent art Thou to do what
Thou desirest. No one can withstand Thy Will or
thwart Thy Purpose.
-The Báb, US Bahá’í Prayers, page 29
